The Comtech sector is undoing rapid growth, with a push towards Wireless Communications demand has never been higher for delivery, technical and sales staff to meet the ever-increasing needs of the industry. To fill this demand, quick and accurate placement of candidates is imperative.

The challenge, as a telecommunications jobs recruiter, lies not only in finding a fit between the individual and the client, but also understanding an industry with ever-changing technology. You only have to look back twenty years at the way people used the internet and mobile phones to understand just how fast things are progressing. For this reason, many recruitment companies are choosing to specialise in a specific band of the telecoms sector in order to become experts in the technology their clients use.

Another result of the speedy progression of technology is Telecoms companies are competing head-to-head to lead new product categories, this is creating fluxuations in company’s profitability leading to frequent Mergers and Acquisitions in the industry. A good telecoms recruiter needs be up to speed with all the goings on in the industry in order to track the flow of talent created by such volatility. When an opportunity is created, a recruiter needs to have an extensive pool of experienced screened candidates ready to go to aid the client in the growth of their company.

For this reason, long-term success in the telecoms industry requires recruiters to be well researched and experienced to stay one step ahead of their competitor, but most importantly, to be as adaptable as the industry they recruit for.
